Dr. Kenny Hayes
Co-Founder Lead Investigator Evidence Technician |
I graduated from the University of Tennessee Memphis College of Pharmacy in 1993 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. I have worked in the hospital setting for over 27 years in several positions including as a Director of Pharmacy. Currently, I am a clinical pharmacist in an infusion Center. My duties include educating patients about their disease states, treatment plans, side effects and possible drug interactions. While working as a night shift pharmacist at a local hospital in 2005, the staff and I started hearing weird sounds and voices as well as seeing shadow figures in the rooms and hallways. Concerned that this would disrupt workflow, I contacted experts in the paranormal for their advice on how to manage this activity. Through my scientific background, I have a unique perspective on the paranormal and am able to debunk most paranormal experiences.

Mark LaBello
Co-Founder Lead Investigator Evidence Technician |
I am a retired veteran after serving 23 years of honorable service in the United States Navy. Currently I am an instructor for one of the local high schools here in Knoxville, Tennessee and have been teaching Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (NJROTC) for the past 15 years. I really did not know anything about the paranormal until programs such as Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures were televised. I remember spending numerous hours watching these shows and being very skeptical of the evidence they were presenting. Curiosity got the best of me and so I decided to start actively investigating with paranormal teams to see if I could debunk the evidence and claims. For the past 13 years I have experienced, saw and heard things that was beyond what I could ever imagine. My theory is “What lies beyond the realm of the living is only what you believe”.

I grew up in East Tennessee and though I've always enjoyed exploring new places, the mountains always draw me back home. With that said, my "home away from home" is most definitely New Orleans, a hauntingly beautiful place that I've been lucky enough to regularly frequent. Since I was a little girl, I knew I would be a storekeeper and ten years ago I took a leap of faith and took the dive into entrepreneurship.
I am the proprietor of Curiosities, a metaphysical store in Knoxville, TN and combined with my personal study of different spiritual paths, work with alternative healing modalities and love of the occult, I've found my perfect niche. I also offer spiritual counseling, tarot reading, energy work and a myriad of classes. As far as psychic skills go, I would consider myself an empath, channel and medium with skills such as clairvoyance, precognition, psychometry and telepathy. Oftentimes, these skills are used together to get a well-rounded picture during a reading. I sense and see auras and I have been known to conduct a séance on occasion. Additionally, I am a Reiki Level 3 Master and offer energetic healing sessions which integrate Reiki, Medicine Drumming, Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy and Intuitive Work. I'm a certified hypnotist and an Ordained Minister as well. My first paranormal experience was an apparition of a woman in the first building that housed my store. Since then, something clicked, and I have had numerous experiences with the spirit world. |
I was officially introduced to paranormal investigating when Kenny, the NAPRT crew co-founder, invited me to come along on an investigation. I had always been interested in paranormal TV shows and jumped at the chance to experience it firsthand. Having witnessed some ghostly activity in my life it was incredible to me how we were able to capture evidence with the technology we have. I’m thrilled to be a part of this team and excited to continue working to help people find answers to the paranormal questions they have.

I was born in Jacksonville FL. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with a collateral in International Business and the University of Tennessee. My father (Mark LaBello) first introduced me to the paranormal early in my teenage years. We would spend many nights watching Ghost Hunters, and Ghost Adventures. I didn't really believe any of it until I started hearing stories from my family of experiences they have had. I look forward to finding out the truth about the paranormal.

I was born in Sevierville TN and currently work as a laboratory assistant. I have a bachelor’s degree in both International Affairs and Spanish, with double minors in Japanese and Business. Kim and I met in high school, though we didn’t start dating until much later, eventually getting married in 2018. I guess I’m the biggest skeptic of the group, but I’m happy to come along and try to debunk the results.

I have lived in East Tennessee my whole life and knew I had the skills to communicate with people and be a teacher. I started my degree in my early twenties but put everything on the back burner so that I could support my family. In my thirties, I felt the call again to teach and decided to finish my degree and focus on history. I love to hear and tell stories. History is just that! It is reading a story and retelling it in your words to make it come to life. I grew up asking my granddad to tell me ghost stories. He grew up near a house that he described as haunted. I loved hearing those stories and any others I could find. I love watching shows or listening to podcasts that cover the paranormal and of course I love the history behind the hauntings. I believe that history and the paranormal go hand in hand. You cannot have a good ghost story without a good history behind it. I have not experienced any paranormal activity first hand, but have talked to many people that have and I believe that there are spirits.
